The Animal Refuge Center is a non-profit, no-kill animal welfare agency. For
the
past 19 years, we have been caring for unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats
at our facility in North Fort Myers, and many others through community
outreach and foster care.
We operate solely on donations, volunteers and grants- we receive no Federal
or State money. Currently, we have over 400 cats and 60 dogs available for
adoption at our shelter. Many of the animals have special needs that require
medications and surgeries.
Community Sponsorships are a critical part of our survival. Because we have
less that 1% administrative overhead due to our volunteer base, every penny
donated to the shelter goes directly to animal care.
Your Tax deductible donation could spay a dog like Irish, buy enough food to
feed her for a full year, or even build her a dog loge that will keep her
safe and warm... and that would make her very happy! |
