If you have space in your home to help when emergencies arise, the shelter would be thrilled. We are often looking for foster homes for nursing mothers- both cats, and dogs, which, of course involves having 'infants' temporarily living with you.

These are truly rewarding and challenging situations. We also often need foster homes for animals that need a 'quiet' time to get over having lost their human companion or family.

Some animals also need time to rebound from a traumatic situation such as abuse, hunger or general neglect. If you feel you would like to be one of these "everyday heroes" for ARC's animals, please call the shelter at 239-731-3535 and leave a message or select the contact ARC button and submit your questions. A board member will call you to discuss further details.
